TO REMOVE
STEM AND CARTRIDGE: |
| |
1. Disassemble faucet
per instructions enclosed with
new cartridge. |
| |
2. Remove small snap ring that retains stem. |
| |
3. Place
open end of tool over cartridge. Engage tangs
with flats of cartridge.
Turn knob of tool to screw it into
stem of cartridge until
snug (not tight) and pull. |

| TO REMOVE
CARTRIDGE: |
1. Slide
sleeve over the button to keep it depressed.
Insert tool in
cartridge until the scored line is flush with
top of cartridge. |
2. With
a smooth, even force, turn tool back and forth
to loosen cartridge. |
| 3. Pull cartridge
out. |

| TO REMOVE PLASTIC CARTRIDGE: |
| 1. Remove faucet handle and
clip that retains cartridge. |
| 2. Pull stem to the "on" position. |
3. Place
open end of tool over cartridge. engage tangs
with flats of cartridge. |
4. turn knob of
tool to screw it into stem of cartridge until
snug (not tight.) |
| 5. Turn and pull to remove cartridge. |
